Kiss Me - I’m Ecofriendly

Before the angry masses try to come after me. I had this piece of content planned over 13 months ago. When I received my scrap bag that said “Kiss Me I’m Trashie”. In hopes of my blog popping up on the search engines when creatives alike looked for St. Patrick’s Day images for products and activities. I couldn’t bring myself to hop on to that possible “increased search engine searches”. Please don’t kiss me or others against their will.

What is a Trashie Bag?

You may have seen a bright colored bag called the Take Back Bag across social media platforms. These bright colored bags are made from recycle materials and come in a recyclable envelope. They come in a variety of colors; some colors include double bubble pink, lavender sunset, and turquoise dream.

How Does it Work?

For me, I wash (and dry) my clothes that my children have outgrown, ruined, or destroyed then put it in the bag. Fill up the bag with any other textiles like socks, towels and sheets until its full. Each bag can contain 15 pounds worth of textiles. They have a special fabric scrap bag for all my lovely fabric crafters. (The Green Bag on my blog image header)

Now What?

I washed, dried, and threw the clean clothes, bags, and towels into the bag. Yay for no folding and filled the bag up to 15 pounds worth of textiles. Now what? Scan the QR code, print off the label and then drop it off. Yay. Feel good about saving the Earth.
