Achievement Unlocked-NetGalley Milestone!
Taking a Moment to Celebrate!
Big or small I feel we should celebrate life. I survived a cross country move, with four children, a cat and unexpected visitors of lice. Major ick…but apparently its a common occurrence in Virginia and in the hotel business. I digress, however during this move I was able to participate in Camp NetGalley. In which I received a cool new badge for participating and I hit a review milestone.
What is NetGalley?
“NetGalley helps publishers and authors promote digital review copies to book advocates and industry professionals. Publishers make digital review copies and audiobooks available for the NetGalley community to discover, request, read, and review.” In other words, NetGalley is a platform that gets digital copies into the “hands” of book people.
Camp NetGalley 2025
A summer event that ran July 7 to August 1, 2025. Inviting readers to grab their metaphorical tote bag for a summer of reading, fun and reviews. Participants were able to download Instagram templates, play bingo, and have fun. By reading one of many books in the featured carousel and reviewing it by August 1, 2025 the reader received the cool badge below.
What Book Did I Review to Participate?
31 Days of Spooky by Harper Celebrate.
The Review:
4 stars out of 5
Participating in #CampNetGalley.
31 Days of Spooky was an enjoyable read. It's target audience is teens and adults. I do find it perfect for my children.
As an adult reader with a sensitive stomach these stories were enjoyable and easy to digest.
Not too descriptive on "horror and gore". I would he comfortable giving my 10-13 year old this book. PROVIDED THEY LIKE SPOOKY.
I feel Harper Celebrate nailed it perfectly with the right amount of scare to make this spooky.
Stories can be easily read as a countdown leading up to Halloween or just a short spooky story.
Thank you to Net Galley for the opportunity to read this copy of the book. Thank you to all the sponsors who put together Camp NetGalley this year.
Book Ratings according to me.
Book Ratings According to Me!
A book gets 5 stars from me if I want to avoid life responsibilities and I enjoyed it.
A book gets 4 stars from me if I rather be reading, but I can put it down, and I enjoyed it.
A book gets 3 stars from me if I enjoyed it…but squirrels. Meaning something shiny…easily distracted.
A book gets 2 stars from me if um/eh… not the book for me.
A book will get 1 star from me if I rather have done something else with my time.
In Closing
I hope that you find something to celebrate. I hope that you can find a book to capture your mind and want to ignore the responsibilities of life.
