The Power of a Book: Bringing the Gaggle Together.

All Hail Mother Goose, Jeneva Rose bringing readers together over The Perfect Divorce.

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose was released April 15, 2025. I was made aware that my signed copy would arrive April 18, 2025. Honestly…. I didn’t want to wait that long. (Please note due to content scheduling and wanting others to read the book, this post will be published after April 18,2025)

On Hunt I Go

Like so many others being told that their Target preorders were cancelled…if the readers had wanted the highly sought after red book jacket of The Perfect Divorce they had to go to the store day of. I contemplated this thought long enough…I had a copy coming in the mail… I could check it out from my local library. The audio book which had 10 digital copies were all out on loan and it would be an 8 week wait. Um…I didn’t want to wait even longer for The Perfect Divorce.

So, like many other I flocked to Target in hopes to get a copy. All over my socials were the lucky few finding a copy. I waited until after my sons appointment… so I wasn’t there bright and early. What felt like a magical Easter Egg find, I found a copy of the book.

On my way home, I had a thought. Wow… a book did this.

Jeneva Rose calls her fans her silly geese. A group of geese are called a gaggle. Here across the globe her gaggle of geese are flocking to their mailboxes, flocking to their stores to pick up a copy, flocking to meet her while she tours. I was brought to her fanbase after reading The Perfect Marriage (2020), following that was One of Us is Dead (2022), enjoying You Shouldn’t Have Come Here in 2023…I couldn’t deny that I was in fact a silly goose.

Staying up late in bed I was hypnotized by the story of The Perfect Divorce. Learning my lesson after staying up for 24 hours (highly not recommended) reading and life-ing You Shouldn’t Have Come Here, I choose sleep after two hours of reading. After the morning rush of taking the kids to school I snuggled up in my tortilla blanket…realizing that I am not the only one cozying up to read this novel. I took a break from reading and asked several pages of Facebook who is reading or waiting for The Perfect Divorce currently. It was an amazing feeling to me to know that there were at least 20 people reading their hard copies, at least 10 people were listening to this book, and a handful were still waiting for their book to arrive.

I wasn’t alone.*

Cheers to The Perfect Divorce.

The book is written as a stand-alone however it does follow The Perfect Marriage. Do you need to read The Perfect Marriage prior to reading The Perfect Divorce? No. The Perfect Marriage is also a stand alone novel. (It means it is an entire story beginning, middle and end without continuation.) Is it a good idea…I wouldn’t say no. The book does reference back to The Perfect Marriage but does a good job including enough information, so you don’t feel lost in the sauce. Twisty, engaging, hard to put down, a lot of great “one liners”. Check out the book trailer below. The Perfect Divorce is available now on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Blackstone, Bookshop, and Target.

Target Exclusive

A little disappointed that it is a red book cover and the binding isn’t red. But I love Jeneva Rose and red.

I want to add a joke…JOKE…they saved my marriage. I asked for ONE thing on my birthday…I ended up purchasing it for myself.**

It’s not a spoiler…. because it was in the book trailer. I will say this read the acknowledgements AFTERWARDS.

Notes:

* I am aware that books may have done this before, however I have never had a thought over the event. The Silly Gaggle of Geese is a community that I haven’t experienced before. And if you say Harry Potter did this…I am not going to argue...however did your parent accuse you of practicing witchcraft? Make you pee on a pregnancy test because I had to be sexually active…also accusing you of being in the LGBTQ+ in not nice words? Grounding you from reading? (Yes, I said reading…I was grounded from reading) Not relating to me? Ok…that was just my upbringing. (If you must know I liked Ron.)

** While I am currently channeling my inner Taylor Swift with teardrops on my keyboard. (not guitar) All I can say is don’t put off happiness. You are in control of your happiness. Live a life that brings you joy. We only get one life to live, and I don’t want to sit on my deathbed regretting my life choices. And no…this isn’t a public declaration of secretly wanting a divorce. This is blog post on The Perfect Divorce, and I made a play on words.

***Are you still reading my blog post? If you are thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to read it fully.
